Plastic Waste Recycling
Plastic is one of the most common types of waste, which is why UAB Natureka places great
emphasis on the collection, management, and preparation of plastic waste for recycling. We
process various types of plastic waste and plastic packaging waste generated in industry,
commerce, logistics, and households, including polypropylene (PP), used canisters, IBC
containers (HDPE), and other plastic types that can be converted into secondary raw
materials.
The process begins with the separate collection of plastic waste, ensuring that plastics are
sorted at the point of generation. We provide clients with clear information and
recommendations on proper plastic sorting so that the waste is as clean as possible and
suitable for further preparation and recycling. Proper pre-sorting increases logistical
efficiency and improves recycling quality—the cleaner the plastic waste, the higher its value
as a secondary raw material.
The collected plastic waste is transported to UAB Natureka’s treatment facility, where it is
sorted according to plastic type, color, and contamination level. In the next stage, the plastic
is compacted, shredded, washed, and prepared for granulation or other recycling
technologies, transforming it into raw material for new products. This type of plastic recycling
helps reduce the need for primary raw materials, lowers CO₂ emissions, and decreases the
amount of waste sent to landfills.
UAB Natureka also provides plastic shredding and washing services to other waste
management companies. Through these services, plastic waste becomes a valuable
secondary raw material, helping businesses contribute to sustainable and circular economy
goals in Lithuania.
