Hazardous Waste Management
UAB Natureka specializes in hazardous waste management – from hazardous waste
identification and sorting to safe collection, transportation, and final treatment across
Lithuania. We handle liquid and solid chemical waste, oil-derived waste, oil-contaminated
materials, paint, solvent and varnish waste, laboratory waste, and other hazardous materials
generated by companies, institutions, and industrial processes.
The first step is the assessment and identification of hazardous waste. Our specialists,
following applicable legislation and the European Waste Catalogue (EWC) codes, assist
clients in determining the type of waste, hazardous properties, quantities, and generation
frequency. We provide optimal hazardous waste management solutions, select appropriate
packaging and labeling methods, and prepare regular waste collection schedules so that
clients do not have to manage daily waste flows themselves.
During the collection stage, we organize the packaging, temporary storage, and safe loading
of hazardous waste. We use certified containers, sealed drums, and other packaging
compliant with hazardous materials transport and ADR requirements. We collect hazardous
waste from one or multiple client sites, production units, or facilities within the Kaunas region
and across Lithuania, optimizing routes to reduce transportation costs. With more than a
decade of experience in the waste management sector, we have developed an efficient,
transparent, and environmentally compliant system that enables clients to handle all types of
waste safely and responsibly.
The collected hazardous waste is then transported to UAB Natureka’s waste management
facility, where it is sorted, treated, neutralized, regenerated, recycled, or used for energy
recovery—depending on its composition and available technological solutions. In line with
the “proximity” principle and the Basel Convention, Natureka aims to ensure that hazardous
waste is treated as close as possible to its place of origin and transferred to partners in other
EU countries for final processing only when necessary.
Throughout the entire process, full documentation of hazardous waste management is
ensured: waste transfer–acceptance records are prepared, data is entered into accounting
systems, and compliance with environmental requirements (including IPPC regulations) is
maintained. This helps clients avoid administrative risks, ensures regulatory compliance, and
confirms that hazardous waste has been handled safely and responsibly. UAB Natureka is a
reliable partner when professional hazardous waste management services are required in
Lithuania.
